We had a great time scrambling madly about the Sanctuary weeding asparagus plants with Bernard and Ben. Very friendly staff and beautiful place. Wish we'd spent more time exploring. Saw tuataras and kakas which was cool.

Karori is an amazing place. Whether the task was weeding or preparing the aviaries for the next set of new birds it was always a pleasure to be contributing to, and working in, such a unique environment. Within one hour I had seen kaka feeding and heard saddleback calling. Thank you to Kris and to Karori Wildlife Sanctuary for a fantasitic experience.

Karori is just a place where I could appreciate the fact that I forget I was in Wellington. And the place is huge. Very quiet, you can really see lots of birds and just appreciate to walk on a quiet way in this beautiful park. The job they have done is amazing there. And working in this place is really great: birds are around you and while you are working, you just enjoy the place you are, look at the amazing view as well. It was friendly and interesting, both things we all need when we work in a place! It was a great experience. Thanks to Kris, Chris and Andy who gave me the possibility to work there and to keep on looking after me!
